Something I Need To Do More
Over the past week, I decided to go outside.
It was around the start of May, and Beltane and I decided to celebrate the day by walking around outside. It was nice, and one of the main things I focused on while outside was the trees around my home.
The sweet mesquite trees around my home are such a pleasure to have. Mesquite trees have always been in my life, and they are my favorite tree (maybe because they are abundant in my area).
Recently, I've wanted to connect more with nature. That's an area I do neglect a lot, especially during summers and high noon. Where I live, temperatures tend to be warmer, and my skin does not handle heat well, so I prefer the inside to the outside.
But while I was outside, sprinkling my trees with water (I didn't want to water them fully cuz I wanted to see how the weather would be in the next weeks), I felt very calm with them. I felt relaxed, and I felt heard. I talked with the trees briefly and told them why I was sprinkling them with water. And I also told them I was sorry I didn't spend time with them.
Being outside more often, especially with the trees that have been a part of my home, is something that I know I should do more often. I don't know, but that's my conclusion after going outside at the height of spring.
